Eileen W. Allan is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Eileen provides legal services for all aspects of estate planning and estate administration, including:
(1) drafting Wills, gift trusts, life insurance trusts, management trusts, marital property agreements, and ancillary estate planning instruments for disability and incapacity;
(2) planning for asset protection and to minimize gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxation;
(3) probating wills and handling intestate administrations;
(4) preparing federal estate and generation-skipping transfer tax returns; and
(5) funding and administering trusts and estates.
She earned her J.D. from Loyola University – New Orleans in 1991 and her B.A., Economics from Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1983. Eileen is licensed as an attorney by the Supreme Court of Texas and a member of the State Bar of Texas. She is also a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and The Houston Estate and Financial Forum.
Eileen worked for Liskow & Lewis and for McGlinchey Stafford in New Orleans, as a paralegal and law clerk prior to completing law school. As an attorney, she began her law practice with the trusts and estates section of Fulbright & Jaworski in downtown Houston. She subsequently was associated with the estate planning and probate law practices of Davis & Ridout and of John O. Brentin & Associates, both in Houston. In June 2004, Eileen opened her own law practice on Post Oak Boulevard in Houston.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Eileen also has lived in Miami, Florida and New Orleans, Louisiana. Her hobbies and interests include traveling, roller skating, blues music, scuba, and yoga. Eileen is a member of First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston.
